Mandate

Recognizing the diversity of the community, we are committed to the development, creation and promotion of opportunities for all.

 

Services
Our services provide clients with an orientation to the Canadian system and help with citizenship and/or sponsorship documents, completion of forms, information regarding education, health, housing, legal and recreation systems. Weekly groups, supportive counselling and referrals are offered.

LINC Classes
Provides English language training to newcomers to Canada.

Ontario Early Years Centres
Offers services to children 0 - 6 years old and their parents and caregivers. The program enhances school-readiness. Sites are located in Malton, Bramalea and Springdale

Family Resource Services
Services include life skills and parenting programs, toy lending library, Parents and Tots program, family/individual supportive counselling, public education and outreach.

Youth Outreach Services
Offers employment assistance, workshops, youth group, volunteer opportunities (to tutor), supportive counselling and referrals.

Malton Information Service (Mall Kiosk)

Clients, from across Peel can telephone to obtain information and referral on a wide range of topics. In-person clients are also given assistance and can purchase transit tickets.

Pre-Employment Training
Job search assistance is provided through resume writing, interviewing skills, self-esteem, time management, and job leads.

Immigrant Reception and Information Service
Information Kiosks are operated at each of the Pearson International Airport terminals. Kiosks provide newcomers with information about their destination and settlement resources. Government assisted and group-sponsored refugees receive warm clothing in the winter months and assistance in reaching their final destination.
