Mandate We are dedicated to enriching the quality of life for families in Peel through community based parent-to-parent education, support and training.
Services Parents need support and encouragement in raising their children. In our series of sessions, through readings, discussions and activities, parents explore democratic methods of encouraging children to be cooperative, self-confident, responsible and independent. Supportive discussion groups allow parents an opportunity to gain an understanding of child behaviour and to share their concerns with other parents. Sessions are conducted in an atmosphere of warmth and support. Our approach is educational and preventative rather than therapeutic and clinical. Programs include Family Development for Parents' Parenting workshops and Home Parenting parties and Study Groups.
