Agency Mandate

The Sexual Assault/Rape Crisis Centre of Peel is a woman-centred agency that provides crisis support services to women, 16 years and older, who have experienced any form of sexual violence in their lives. We also offer support counselling to friends, partners, and family members of survivors

24- Hour Crisis and Support Telephone Lines

Provides support and counselling to survivors of sexual violence and members of their social network 24-hours a day, seven days a week. 

Accompaniment
On request, crisis workers will accompany women to the hospital, police station and judicial offices.
 

Public Education

Coordinates and participates in activities that support the prevention of sexual violence and create a better understanding of sexual violence through community education.
 

Advocacy

Coordinates and supports activities designed to identify and change societal attitudes, practices and institutions which condone and perpetuate sexual violence.

Counselling

Provides individual and group counselling to women who have experienced sexual violence in their lives.
 

Community Outreach

Collaborates with other services and community groups to ensure services reflect the entire diversity of our community
